I'm a retired academic whose only job now is being grandma. I live in Iowa, in the USA. This retired grandmother took up photography to document those grandbabies and found myself branching out into more creative and broader subjects.

My father always said "the only way to hunt, is with a camera." From him I get my love of animals, and taking nature and wildlife photos and of course, our pets.

I'm not big on taking posed photos of people, instead preferring to take candid photos of family members (grandchildren), when I see that "perfect" moment shot. I've taken candid photos at weddings, and have done engagement "save the date" photos more recently, but my first love is for animals and birds.

I am here to find inspiration, learn from others on how to improve my photography, and share my journey with others.
